Megawati menegaskan bahwa permintaan penundaan ini berkaitan dengan dinamika politik nasional yang terjadi, terutama setelah Sekretaris Jenderal PDIP, Hasto Kristiyanto, ditahan oleh Komisi Pemberantasan Korupsi (KPK).
Megawati menyatakan bahwa keputusan ini diambil dengan mempertimbangkan AD-ART PDIP, khususnya Pasal 28 Ayat 1, yang menyebutkan bahwa Ketua Umum memiliki kewenangan penuh dalam mengendalikan kebijakan dan instruksi partai.
Pakar politik dan hukum sekaligus Direktur Eksekutif Indonesia Law and Democracy Studies (ILDES) Juhaidy Rizaldy menilai bahwa kepala daerah adalah lembaga eksekutif yang harusnya tunduk pada pemerintah.
Partai politik juga diakui Rizaldy sudah tidak punya hak, jika kepala daerah yang diusungnya sudah dilantik oleh pemerintah.
Sehingga tidak lazim jika ada kepala daerah yang masih mengikuti partai politik seperti tidak hadir dalam retreat di Magelang. (Tribun-Video.com)
