Hukuman mati itu berlangsung di Penjara Urmia, barat laut Iran, dekat dengan perbatasan Turki.
Dalam peristiwa serupa, Otoritas Teheran juga mengeksekusi seorang pria yang menjadi mata-mata Mossad.
Ia adalah Majid Mosayyebi, yang sudah dihukum gantung pada 16 Juni 2025 lalu.
Menurut pejabat Iran, Mosayyebi telah menjalin kontak rutin dnegan agen Mossad bernama David di Negara Teluk.
Ia dilaporkan mengirim informasi sensitif mengenai lokasi dan individu penting Iran dengan imbalan pembayaran melalui kripto.
Salah satunya mencakup mengenai intelijen rahasia yang sangat penting bagi pertahanan nasional Iran.
