Saudi's MBS and UAE Warn Israel Over West Bank Annexation Plan | Spotlight | N18GThe Saudi Crown Prince, Mohammed Bin Salman, has reportedly warned Israel, saying that the Netanyahu government's plan to annex the West Bank would end any chance of normalisation of ties. Israel's public broadcaster reported that the decision came during a meeting between the Saudi Crown Prince and the UAE President, Mohammed Bin Zayed, in Riyadh last week. Both MBS and MBZ reportedly agreed that a pullback from the Abraham Accords would be a realistic option if Israel moves ahead with its plan to annex the West Bank. The UAE President also called Israel's annexation plan a red flag. The Netanyahu administration has been weighing annexation of parts of the West Bank in a retort to a wave of Palestinian Statehood recognition by the West. The UK, France, Canada, Australia, Portugal, and Belgium have announced plans to recognise Palestinian Statehood at the UN General Assembly this month in New York.
