Al -Mawasi diketahui ditetapkan oleh tentara Israel sebagai 'zona kemanusiaan' bagi pengungsi Palestina di tengah serangan mematikan Tel Aviv di Jalur Gaza.
Serangan Israel tersebut dinilai sebagai bentuk mengabaikan resolusi Dewan Keamanan PBB yang menuntut gencatan senjata segera.
Namun Israel menghadapi kecaman internasional di tengah serangan brutal yang terus berlanjut di Gaza sejak serangan Hamas pada 7 Oktober 2023.
Lebih dari 38.700 warga Palestina telah terbunuh, sebagian besar perempuan dan anak-anak, dan lebih dari 89.000 orang terluka.
Lebih dari sembilan bulan setelah serangan Israel, sebagian besar wilayah Gaza hancur akibat blokade makanan, air bersih, dan obat-obatan yang melumpuhkan.
Israel dituduh melakukan genosida di Mahkamah Internasional.
Keputusan terbarunya memerintahkan Israel untuk segera menghentikan operasi militernya di kota selatan Rafah.
