TNI AL Dapat Hibah Kapal Perang Korvet Bucheon 773 dari Korsel, Akan Diperbaiki Sebelum Tiba di RI
Download aplikasi berita TribunX di Play Store atau App Store untuk dapatkan pengalaman baruTRIBUN-VIDEO.COM - TNI Angkatan Laut bakal mendapatkan hibah satu unit kapal perang jenis korvet, Patrol Combat Corvette (PCC) Bucheon-773 bekas dari Republic of Korea (ROK) Navy atau Angkatan Laut Korea Selatan.
Rencana hibah itu disampaikan pada rapat dengar pendapat Komisi I Dewan Perwakilan Rakyat (DPR) RI dengan Kementerian Pertahanan, Kementerian Keuangan, dan TNI di Kompleks Parlemen, Senayan, Jakarta Pusat, Kamis (6/6/2024).
“Pemerintah Korea Selatan memberikan hibah satu unit kapal korvet eks ROK Navy kepada Kemenhan RI untuk TNI AL,” kata Wakil Menteri Pertahanan RI Muhammad Herindra dalam rapat itu.
Kapal PCC kelas Pohang itu diproduksi tahun 1988 dari galangan kapal Korea Ship Building Corporation yang sekarang berganti nama menjadi Hanjin Heavy Industries, berbasis di Busan.
Namun, kata Herindra, kapal akan diperbaiki terlebih dulu sebelum tiba di Tanah Air.
Perbaikan berupa struktur dan mesin kapal yang dilaksanakan di galangan kapal Korsel.
