Karir Selesai, Kompol Cosmas Dipecat Buntut Rantis Brimob Tabrak Ojol Hingga Tewas | SAPA PAGI
JAKARTA, KOMPAS.TV - Majelis Sidang Etik Polri menjatuhkan sanksi pemecatan terhadap Kompol Cosmas Kaju Gae, Komandan Batalyon Resimen IV Korps Brimob.Kompol Cosmas dipecat dari Polri buntut tewasnya pengemudi ojek online, Affan Kurniawan.
Komisi Kode Etik Profesi Polri menilai, Kompol Cosmas terbukti melakukan pelanggaran etik berat setelah kendaraan taktis atau rantis Brimob yang ditumpanginya menabrak Affan Kurniawan hingga tewas.
Usai dipecat, Kompol Cosmas menyampaikan bahwa ia tidak ada niatan untuk menghilangkan nyawa Affan Kurniawan. Ia menyebut, peristiwa itu di luar dugaannya dan baru mengetahui kabar meninggalnya Affan dari media sosial.
Komisioner Kompolnas, Choirul Anam, menilai putusan pemberhentian tidak dengan hormat terhadap Cosmas dapat menjadi jawaban bagi keluarga mendiang Affan.
Adapun keluarga Affan meminta keadilan yang seadil-adilnya.
Komnas HAM mencatat, terdapat 10 orang kehilangan nyawa dalam aksi demonstrasi. Berbagai penyebab tengah diselidiki, termasuk dugaan kekerasan oleh aparat.
Penasihat Ahli Kapolri meyakini, ada penggerak di balik para pelaku perusakan. Karena itu, diperlukan antisipasi dari kepolisian. Namun, antisipasi tersebut bukan untuk memberangus kebebasan.
Selain Kompol Cosmas, ada Bripka Rohmat, sopir rantis, yang juga menjalani sidang etik pada Rabu, 3 September lalu.
Sementara sidang terhadap lima anggota Brimob lainnya akan digelar Kamis, 4 September 2025.
Baik Kompol Cosmas maupun Bripka Rohmat diindikasikan terlibat dalam kategori pelanggaran berat. Sedangkan lima anggota lain yang berada di kursi belakang kendaraan masuk kategori pelanggaran sedang.
