TRIBUN-VIDEO.COM- Pemerintah Provinsi Sulawesi Tenggara berencana membentuk sekolah dasar dan sekolah menengah pertama unggulan di setiap kabupaten dan kota.
Gubernur Sultra, Andi Sumangerukka, mengatakan pembentukan SD dan SMP unggulan bertujuan mempersiapkan pelajar asal Sultra agar mampu bersaing masuk ke SMA Garuda yang dibangun di 15 kabupaten
Provinsi Sultra.
Sekokah unggulan Garuda direncanakan akan menampung siswa dari seluruh Indonesia, sehingga Pemprov Sultra perlu menyiapkan peserta didik sejak jenjang SD dan SMP agar dapat lolos ke sekolah tersebut.
