Ia mengapresiasi langkah cepat Presiden Prabowo Subianto yang langsung mengambil tindakan untuk mencegah potensi kerusakan lingkungan di Raja Ampat.
Hensa juga mengapresiasi Menteri Energi dan Sumber Daya Mineral (ESDM) Bahlil Lahadalia yang akhirnya mencabut IUP pertambangan di Raja Ampat.
Langkah ini diambil setelah ramai diperbincangkan di media sosial dengan tagar #SaveRajaAmpat yang menjadi viral.
Namun, ia mempertanyakan mengapa tindakan pemerintah baru dilakukan setelah isu ini mencuat di publik.
Menurutnya, kepekaan pemerintah terhadap isu-isu yang dibicarakan oleh masyarakat seharusnya lebih proaktif, tanpa harus menunggu tekanan dari masyarakat melalui media sosial.
Ia menilai, momen ketika Presiden Prabowo memanggil tiga menterinya, yakni Menteri ESDM Bahlil Lahadalia, Menteri Lingkungan Hidup Hanif Faisol Nurofiq, dan Menteri Kehutanan Raja Juli Antoni menunjukkan adanya kejanggalan dalam komunikasi internal pemerintah.
Sebelumnya, pemerintah memutuskan mencabut empat izin usaha pertambangan (IUP) nikel di Kabupaten Raja Ampat.
Keputusan itu disampaikan oleh Menteri Energi dan Sumber Daya Mineral (ESDM) Bahlil Lahadalia dalam keterangan pers di Kantor Presiden, Kompleks Istana Kepresidenan, Jakarta Pusat, Selasa (10/6/2025).
Menurut Bahlil, Presiden Prabowo Subianto punya perhatian khusus dan secara sungguh-sungguh untuk menjadikan Raja Ampat tetap menjadi wisata dunia dan keberlanjutan negara.
Sementara, pemerintah tidak mencabut izin tambang milik PT Gag Nikel di Pulau Gag, Raja Ampat, Papua Barat Daya.
Bahlil mengatakan perusahaan tersebut dinilai telah menjalankan kegiatan operasional sesuai dengan dokumen Analisis Mengenai Dampak Lingkungan (AMDAL) dan termasuk dalam aset negara yang strategis. (*)
