Pejabat Israel memberi tahu AS bahwa mereka yakin Iron Dome mungkin dalam bahaya terutama yang terletak di utara.
Bahaya itu muncul karena serangan besar-besaran yang dilakukan Hizbullah.
Dikutip dari Al-Mayadeen, para pejabat Israel terkejut dengan kompleksitas serangan Hizbullah sejauh ini.
Penggunaan sejumlah besar peluru dan rudal Hizbullah tak dapat dibendung.
“Sumber utama kekhawatiran adalah penggunaan sejumlah besar peluru dan rudal yang tepat dan terpandu oleh Hizbullah.” menurut sumber.
Merespons hal itu, tiga pejabat AS menyebut, Washington memiliki kekhawatiran serius.
Mereka takut Hizbullah akan membanjiri dan mengganggu pertahanan udara Israel jika perang habis-habisan kedua negara terjadi.
Terlebih, perlawanan Lebanon memiliki senjata yang mampu melewati sistem pertahanan udara Israel tanpa terdeteksi.
Dulunya, konfrontasi hanya terbatas pada persediaan rudal Hizbullah yang sangat besar dan sistem anti-rudal Iron Dome.
Namun saat ini, Hizbullah juga mampu mengerahkan senjata drone untuk melewati landasan keamanan nasional Israel.
Pesawat ini berkecepatan tinggi dan terbang di ketinggian rendah.
Drone tersebut mampu mengumpulkan informasi intelijen dan menjatuhkan bahan peledak.
