Terkait penyebab para terpidana babak belur, polisi menyebut karena dianiaya oleh sesama tahanan.
Hal ini disampaikan oleh Direktur Reserse Kriminal Umum Polda Jabar Kombes Pol Surawan dalam rilis pada Minggu (26/5/2024) di Mapolda Jabar.
Surawan mengatakan, imbas peristiwa tersebut, sebanyak 15 anggota polisi dikenakan sanksi.
Dari 15 anggota polisi tersebut, sebagian di antaranya adalah penyidik.
Mereka diproses karena dianggap lalai sehingga terjadilah penganiayaan tahanan.
Surawan menambahkan bahwa pemukulan tak hanya dilakukan tahanan lain.
Bahkan ada satu tersangka kasus Vina, dipukuli sesama mereka (tersangka kasus Vina).
Karena hal tersebut pula penanganan kasus ditarik dari Polres Cirebon Kota ke Polda Jabar.
