Selain itu, Zelensky juga menjamin posisi Ukraina di keanggotaan NATO.
Hal itu ia sampaikan dalam konferensi pers pada Minggu (23/2/2025).
"Jika itu berarti perdamaian untuk Ukraina, jika Anda benar-benar membutuhkan saya untuk mundur dari jabatan ini, saya siap," kata Zelensky.
Diketahui, saat ini tengah meningkat soal tekanan politik dari Presiden Amerika Serikat (AS), Donald Trump.
Selain itu, situasi perang Ukraina-Rusia juga masih berkecamuk.
Adapun, pernyataan itu juga muncul di tengah hubungan yang memburuk antara Zelensky dan Donald Trump.
Presiden AS itu secara terbuka menyerangnya dengan menyebutnya sebagai seorang 'diktator' dan mendorong agar Ukraina segera mengadakan pemilu di tengah perang.
Trump mengingatkan konstitusi Ukraina yang menyatakan bahwa pemilu presiden harus diadakan setiap lima tahun sekali.
