Kecelakaan maut mobil ambulans yang sedang membawa pasien ditabrak Toyota Land Cruiser terjadi di Kabupaten Pelalawan, Riau, Minggu kemarin. Akibatnya sopir dan pasien tewas, sementara dokter terluka.Kecelakaan maut ini terjadi tepatnya di Jalan Lintas Timur KM 86+400, Desa Kemang, Kecamatan Pangkalan Kuras, Kabupaten Pelalawan. Sebuah mobil ambulans Daihatsu Luxio yang sedang membawa pasien ditabrak Toyota Land Cruiser.
Kapolres Pelalawan AKBP Afrizal Asri menjelaskan, kecelakaan bermula ketika Toyota Land Cruiser berpelat nomor BK 1389 MB yang dikemudikan Priadi (46), warga Deli Serdang, melaju dari arah Pangkalan Kerinci menuju Sorek. Tiba di lokasi kejadian, mobil mewah tersebut hilang kendali dan masuk ke jalur berlawanan.
Di saat bersamaan, ambulans melintas dari arah berlawanan. Benturan pun tak terelakkan. Sopir ambulans Andria Permana dan pasien bernama Suin (49), warga Kabupaten Indragiri Hulu, tewas seketika di lokasi kejadian.
Sementara empat orang mengalami luka berat dan dua lainnya luka ringan, termasuk dokter dan para perawat. Semua korban luka telah dilarikan ke RSUD Selasih dan RS Amalia Medika Pangkalan Kerinci untuk mendapatkan perawatan intensif.
Kasat Lantas Polres Pelalawan AKP Enggarani Laufria mengatakan, dugaan sementara penyebab kecelakaan karena kelalaian sopir Land Cruiser yang kehilangan kendali hingga masuk ke jalur lawan arah.
