Kebijakan ini mulai berlaku pada tahun ajaran baru 2025-2026.
"Sekali lagi, sekolah di Jawa Barat dimulai pukul 6.30," kata Dedi Mulyadi dalam video yang diunggah di Instagram pribadinya, Rabu (4/6/2025).
Selain mengatur jam masuk sekolah lebih pagi, Dedi menyebut Pemprov Jabar juga berencana menghapus pekerjaan rumah (PR) bagi siswa.
"Seluruh pekerjaan sekolah dikerjakan di sekolah. Tugas-tugas tidak dibawa menjadi beban di rumah," imbuh dia.
Menurutnya, waktu di rumah seharusnya digunakan anak-anak untuk beristirahat, membaca buku, berolahraga, serta membantu orang tua dalam pekerjaan rumah tangga seperti mencuci piring, menyapu, hingga belajar memasak.
Dedi juga mendorong anak-anak untuk mengikuti kegiatan ekstrakurikuler yang bermanfaat seperti les musik, bahasa Inggris, matematika, hingga fisika.
