Egypt Overhauls Cabinet Amid Economic Woes, Power Cuts, Foreign-Policy Challenges | Firstpost AfricaEgypt’s new Cabinet was sworn in Wednesday as the country faces economic challenges and raging conflicts at its borders. The new 30-member cabinet, led by Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly, has 20 fresh faces. Key ministers, including finance and foreign ministers, have been replaced. There have been changes in the investments and foreign trade, oil, tourism, and electricity ministries as well. The appointment comes as Egypt faces economic woes and other domestic issues such as power cuts and gas shortages. President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi took charge for a third term in April this year and ordered Prime Minister Madbouly to shape a new government to tackle crises at home and abroad.
