“Belanja seperti rapat, perjalanan dinas, makanan, dan perawatan itu kadang berlebihan. Ini harus dikurangi,” ujar Tito di Jakarta, Kamis (9/10/2025).
Tito mengatakan, pada masa Covid-19 beberapa tahun lalu, Kemendagri juga mengalami pengurangan anggaran yang nominalnya jauh sekali.
Ia mengingatkan, meski dana Transfer ke Daerah (TKD) 2026 meningkat menjadi Rp 693 triliun, jumlah itu tetap lebih kecil dibanding tahun sebelumnya.
Karena itu, daerah perlu berhemat dan memastikan setiap program benar-benar terlaksana agar tak menimbulkan masalah hukum.
Tito juga mendorong kepala daerah mencari sumber pendapatan tambahan tanpa membebani rakyat kecil, misalnya dengan menutup kebocoran pajak restoran, hotel, dan parkir.
