[Großbrand in Hamburger Innenstadt!]

Here you can see emergency response operations by various firefighting vehicles of the Hamburg Fire Department responding to a major fire near Hamburg Central Station.
On the afternoon of June 21, 2024, a citizen noticed smoke coming from the roof of the Brecht School in Hamburg. Upon arrival, the fire department declared a major emergency as the fire had already spread significantly under the roof, making firefighting efforts difficult. The fire was not brought under control until several hours later.
In addition to the telescopic mast vehicle 53, which likely had one of its last operations here, one of the newest vehicles in the Hamburg Fire Department's fleet can be seen. The new command vehicle for the press officer (PÖA1=Press and Public Relations 1), based on a VW ID4. This vehicle, along with its identical counterpart (which ist using for the doctor of the shift), is one of the first fully electric vehicles in the Hamburg Fire Department's fleet. Also visible is the relatively new ELW 2 of the Hamburg Fire Department responding to the emergency.
The telescopic mast vehicle will soon be replaced by a telescopic mast vehicle with a working height of 70 meters.
A video of the successor is already available here:
