Israel beralasan tindakan itu diambil setelah Hizbullah menerbitkan video pengintaian udara menggunakan drone Hoope (Hudhud) yang terbang di wilayah Haifa Israel, Selasa (18/6/2024).
Para pejabat senior militer Israel melakukan penilaian bersama terhadap situasi di Komando Utara yang terletak di perbatasan Israel utara.
Itu adalah wilayah Palestina yang diduduki dan Lebanon selatan yang merupakan basis militer Hizbullah.
"Rencana operasional untuk serangan di Lebanon telah disetujui dan keputusan diambil untuk lebih mempercepat kesiapan pasukan di lapangan," kata Komandan Komando Utara tentara Israel Uri Gordin dikutip dari Channel12, Rabu (19/6/202
Dikutip dari Serambinews, Kepala Komando UItara IDF Mayjen Ori Gordin dan Kepala Direktorat Operasi Mayjen Oded Basiuk menyetujui rencana menyerang Lebanon itu.
Sementara itu, Menteri Luar Negeri Israel, Israel Katz, mengancam akan menghancurkan Hizbullah di Lebanon.
“Dalam perang habis-habisan, Hizbullah akan dihancurkan dan Lebanon akan terkena pukulan telak," ujarnya. (Tribun-Video.com)
