Wakil Ketua Umum Partai NasDem, Saan Mustopa, buka suara mengenai perintah Presiden ke-7 RI Joko Widodo (Jokowi) kepada para relawan agar mendukung era kepemimpinan Prabowo Subianto dan Gibran Rakabuming selama dua periode.
Saan enggan menanggapi terlalu jauh mengenai sikap Jokowi.
Saan mengatakan pemilihan umum atau pemilu 2029 masih lama.
Saan menjelaskan saat ini NasDem tengah fokus mendukung seluruh program Pemerintahan Prabowo-Gibran agar berjalan sukses.
Saan yang juga Wakil Ketua DPR RI ini menyebut bahwa pihaknya belum membicarakan soal pemilu 2029.
Beberapa hari lalu salah satu relawan Jokowi yakni Ketua Umum Relawan Projo, Freddy Alex Damanik, mengaku telah mendapat 'titah' dari Jokowi untuk memberikan dukungan kepada duet Prabowo - Gibran dua periode.
Dengan kata lain Prabowo dan Gibran didukung lagi untuk mencalonkan presiden dan wakil presiden RI pada Pemilu 2029 nanti.
Projo atau Pro Jokowi merupakan organisasi relawan yang dibentuk untuk mendukung Jokowi selama kampanye presidennya, khususnya pada Pemilihan Presiden atau Pilpres 2014 dan 2019.
Ketua DPR RI Puan Maharani pun merespons soal usulan Presiden ketujuh RI Joko Widodo agar duet Presiden Prabowo Subianto dan Wakil Presiden Gibran Rakabuming dilanjutkan hingga dua periode.
Puan mengajak semua pihak saat ini untuk terus bergotong royong membangun bangsa dan negara. Ketua DPP PDIP itu bilang pemilu masih jauh.
