Dalam kasus ini, para tersangka tega menaikkan tarif pengajuan sertifikasi hingga 20 kali lipat dari harga yang ditentukan pemerintah.
Ketua KPK Setyo Budiyanto dalam keterangan di Gedung Merah Putih KPK, Jakarta Selatan pada Jumat (22/8) mengungkapkan, sertifikasi K3 merupakan syarat mutlak bagi buruh di bidang pekerjaan tertentu.
Sertifikat K3 diperlukan untuk menciptakan lingkungan kerja yang aman, sehat, dan nyaman.
Dalam memberikan sertifikasi ini, harus diberikan oleh personel yang memiliki lisensi K3.
Hal inilah yang kemudian dijadikan peluang bagi Noel dkk untuk melakukan pemerasan.
Untuk diketahui, tarif sertifikasi yang ditetapkan pemerintah adalah Rp 275 ribu, namun fakta di lapangan menunjukkan para pekerja atau buruh harus mengeluarkan biaya hingga Rp 6 juta.
Noel dan para tersangka lainnya mengancam para pekerja untuk mempersulit pengurusan sertifikasi K3 jika tak membayar seperti biaya yang sudah dipatok oleh mereka.
Berdasarkan temuan penyidik KPK, total uang yang mengalir ke para tersangka jumlahnya mencapai Rp 81 miliar.
Dari total uang tersebut, Noel kecipratan sebanyak Rp 3 miliar pada Desember 2024 atau dua bulan setelah dilantik Presiden Prabowo Subianto.
Sementara tersangka yang mendapat jatah uang haram paling banyak adalah Irvian Bobby Mahendro yaitu sebesar Rp 69 miliar.
Irvian bertugas sebagai penampung uang hasil pemerasan sejak tahun 2019 hingga 2024.
Tersangka sendiri merupakan Koordinator Bidang Kelembagaan dan Personel K3 tahun 2022-2025.
