Paulus Tannos Tolak Pulang ke Indonesia, Minta Penangguhan Penahanan di Singapura |Headline iNEWS.ID
Upaya pemulangan buronan korupsi e-KTP, Paulus Tannos, masih menghadapi hambatan. Meski telah ditangkap di Singapura, proses ekstradisi ke Indonesia belum bisa segera dilakukan.Direktur Jenderal Administrasi Hukum Umum Kementerian Hukum, Widodo menjelaskan, saat ini, Paulus Tannos belum bersedia diserahkan ke Indonesia. Ia memilih untuk mengajukan permohonan penangguhan penahanan kepada pengadilan Singapura.
Permintaan ini menjadi bagian dari upaya hukum yang dilakukannya untuk menunda proses ekstradisi. Paulus Tannos diketahui akan menjalani sidang pendahuluan untuk proses ekstradisi ke Indonesia atau committal hearing di Singapura. Sidang itu dijadwalkan berlangsung pada 23 Juni 2025.
Proses ini menjadi penentu apakah Paulus Tannos akan dikirim kembali ke Indonesia untuk menjalani proses hukum atas kasus korupsi yang menjeratnya.
Pemerintah Indonesia melalui Kementerian Hukum dan HAM telah mengajukan permohonan ekstradisi kepada otoritas Singapura sejak 20 Februari 2025. Sepanjang proses ini, kerja sama dengan pihak Attorney-General’s Chambers Singapura terus dijalankan untuk menghadapi segala upaya hukum dari pihak Paulus Tannos yang berusaha menolak ekstradisi.
Sebelumnya, Paulus Tannos berhasil ditangkap oleh lembaga antikorupsi Singapura pada 17 Januari 2025. Paulus Tannos sebelumnya masuk dalam DPO KPK sejak 19 Oktober 2021, dua bulan setelah berstatus tersangka kasus korupsi proyek e-KTP senilai Rp2,3 triliun.
