Lebih tepatnya, dilaporkan bahwa Hamas telah menyusun surat kepada Trump yang meminta agar dia menjamin gencatan senjata selama 60 hari di Gaza.
Terkhusus, sebagai imbalan atas pembebasan separuh dari 48 sandera yang tersisa.
Namun, tidak jelas apakah surat tersebut membahas isu pelucutan senjata Hamas, sebuah tuntutan Israel yang ditolak sebelumnya.
Adapun, laporan ini muncul tepat setelah Hamas merilis video propaganda yang memperlihatkan sandera Israel.
Sekaligus, saat keluarga para sandera berunjuk rasa di luar kediaman Perdana Menteri Benjamin Netanyahu di Yerusalem, menuntut kesepakatan gencatan senjata dan penyanderaan.
