Perlu diketahui Bripka Rohmat merupakan sopir kendaraan taktis Brimob yang melindas pengemudi ojek online, Affan Kurniawan.
Ia memohon maaf kepada keluarga almarhum Affan dengan tulus dari lubuk hati paling dalam.
Rohmat menegaskan bahwa kejadian tersebut tidak pernah menjadi niat pribadinya untuk mencelakai orang lain.
“Dengan kejadian yang viral, atas nama pribadi dan keluarga dengan lubuk hati paling dalam, kami mohon kepada orang tua almarhum Affan Kurniawan dapat membukakan maaf,” ujarnya.
Ia menekankan, dirinya selalu menjunjung tinggi prinsip Tribrata dalam tugas kepolisian.
“Jiwa kami Tribrata, Yang Mulia. Tidak ada niat sedikit pun untuk mencederai apalagi sampai menghilangkan nyawa,” imbuhnya
Adapun tangisan Rohmat pecah saat dirinya menjelaskan bahwa peristiwa itu terjadi saat ia menjalankan perintah atasan.
Ia menegaskan, tindakan tersebut bukan kemauan pribadinya, melainkan bagian dari tugas sebagai Bhayangkara Brimob.
